About this timer

closebell.com is a big, readable countdown to the close of the current candle, in Indian Standard Time. It was built for day traders who want to know exactly how long is left in a 5‑minute candle without squinting at the corner of a chart.

What it does

Candle countdown for TradingView‑style intervals — 15s, 30s, 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 10m, 15m, 30m, 45m, 1H, 2H, 3H, 4H, 6H, 12H, 1D, 1W — plus any custom interval you define.
Correct alignment. Intervals are anchored to the session open, so on NSE a 10‑minute candle runs 10:25–10:35, exactly as your chart shows it. Presets cover NSE/BSE 09:15, MCX 09:00, crypto 00:00 UTC and plain IST midnight, and you can set your own.
Session countdown showing how much of the trading day is left, and when the market next opens.
Time taken from the server, not from your device — a phone clock that is a minute out will not shift the countdown. If the server cannot be reached the page falls back to the device clock and says so with an amber IST badge.
Audible alert at each candle close, with an optional pre‑close warning.
Elapsed mode if you would rather watch the candle age than its remaining time.
Focus mode, fullscreen, screen dimming and a TV safe area for a dedicated screen, plus a keep‑awake option so the display does not sleep mid‑session.
Installable — add it to a phone home screen and it opens fullscreen like an app.

How it is built

The app is one static HTML page with no framework and no third‑party requests — the fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, so your visit is not disclosed to anyone else. The only things it asks the server for are the current time and the ticker text. Every setting lives in your own browser, and the sponsored slots are counted as daily totals with no identifier attached. See the Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The strip under the timer carries paid placements, marked with an Ads badge. They keep the timer free to use. Some of them are sold directly and served from this domain; the strip can also show a Google advertisement, and that only ever loads if you have allowed advertising cookies — the Cookie settings link in the footer lets you change that answer whenever you like.
